Motorsport.com is reporting that Brian Scott has re-signed with Richard Childress Racing for the 2015 season. Scott will once again be back behind the wheel of the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Xfintiy Series (formally the NASCAR Nationwide Series).
“I’m excited about whatever the future holds for me,” Scott told Motorsport.com. “Obviously, I’ve enjoyed my time at RCR. I look to continue that relationship and to build on what we’ve established there.
“Being able to climb our way through the championship standings – and I think we have a championship caliber team. So, I’m looking forward to next year, coming back and trying to battle for that championship.”
This past season, Scott posted six top-fives and 23 top-10s en route to finishing fourth in the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series standings.
Motorsport.com adds that Scott will have a new crew chief for 2015 as Phil Gould will be heading to Joe Gibbs Racing to work with Elliott Sadler.
