Dale Earnhardt, Jr. & Goody’s Will Increase Partnership in 2015

NASCAR’s most recent winner is getting back together with one of his main sponsors.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and second-year sponsor Goody’s Headache Powder have announced an extension and expansion to their relationship that will see the Goody’s brand onboard the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 2015 at Texas Motor Speedway.

According to NASCAR.com, the sports most popular driver and the headache powder company have stuck a deal that will feature the brand as primary sponsor of the No. 88 for one race per season through 2017. The sponsorship deal also will expand Earnhardt’s personal appearance and promotions role with the product that has been associated with NASCAR racing since the late 1970s.

“It’s great when you can bring in a partner that starts off as a personal service agreement, they get an understanding of how our company works and get a good experience from that and want to grow that into sponsorship of a race car – it helps us a ton,” Earnhardt said. “Anytime we can get a sponsor grown from a personal service agreement to where they’re on the quarter panel of a car is a success for us. We’re in the business of racing cars and trying to fund a race team, so them becoming a part of that process is really important for us.”

This season in what is now the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Earnhardt has made four starts and has an average finish of fifth, including posting three top-5 finishes at Michigan, Texas and Las Vegas.
