Tristan McKee will continue with Spire Motorsports’ NASCAR Fedex Freight Truck Series truck team in 2027, the team announced Sept. 30.
Per Spire’s announcement, McKee will take on an expanded schedule in the series, though other details — such as individual races, sponsors or his truck number — were not revealed.
“I’m really excited to continue in Trucks with Spire next year,” McKee said in a release. “We started off strong with a lot of speed and good finishes, and I know we’re capable of more. It wouldn’t have been possible without all of the hard work from everyone at the team, from the ASCENT Program up to [the NASCAR] Cup [Series] and everyone in the shop.”
McKee is 16 years old and was limited to short tracks in his 2026 Truck schedule. He has one top five and two top 10s across three starts so far this season, with a best result of fifth at Bristol Motor Speedway.
McKee will also run the No. 77 at Martinsville Speedway and Phoenix Raceway this season.
He won the ARCA Menards Series East championship for Spire this year.
McKee is the first driver announced to Spire’s Truck program for 2027. It has fielded the Nos. 7 and 77 full time and No. 71 part time this year for a variety of drivers.
