Carson Kvapil Wins 2nd Straight O’Reilly Pole at Gateway

One week after getting his first career pole, Carson Kvapil followed it up with another one for Saturday night’s (Sept. 12) Nu Way 225 at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Kvapil enters the race 19 points out of the championship lead, sitting in third place in the Chase standings.

Jesse Love will start alongside Kvapil on the front row, while last weekend’s winner Sheldon Creed will start third. Corey Day and points leader Justin Allgaier round out the top-five starters.

Austin Hill, Harrison Burton, William Sawalich, Rajah Caruth and Brent Crews will start in the sixth to 10th positions.

Only 36 cars entered the race, so that all entrants will race. Dawson Cram’s No. 47 car was the only one not to post a qualifying lap, and he will start 36th.

O’Reilly Gateway Lineup

The Nu Way 225 at World Wide Technology Raceway, the 26th race of the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season and the second race of The Chase, will take place on Saturday night, Sept. 12, with coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET on The CW.
