Entry Lists: IMSA at CTMP

This weekend, IMSA teams will be back in action at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship will headline, while IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge will be on the undercard.

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Chevrolet Grand Prix

This weekend’s Chevrolet Grand Prix has 33 teams entered. This is the only race on the calendar in which the LMP2 class will serve as the headliners. The GTP class has the weekend off. Had they raced, there would be a number of driver changes.

That is because this weekend is a direct conflict with the FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Sao Paulo. Even with the GTP class being off, there are still some changes because of the WEC race.

The LMP2 class has 10 teams entered, down one from Watkins Glen. The one team that is not entered is Era Motorsport. This is something of a surprise since Era Motorsport is a full-time team in the class.

United Autosports will have Ben Hanley share the No. 22 with Dan Goldburg in place of Paul di Resta. Di Resta will be racing in Sao Paulo for Peugeot TotalEnergies.

There is a TBD listed for Intersport’s No. 37 alongside Jon Field. This is typically Oliver Jarvis‘ spot. No word on who would replace Jarvis.

At Bryan Herta Autosport with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports, Ricky Taylor will drive alongside Misha Goikhberg in place of Parker Thompson. Thompson is full-time for Team WRT in the WEC’s LMGT3 class.

The GTD Pro class has 10 entries, down two from Watkins Glen. The teams not entered are the part-time entries from Triarsi Competizione, Risi Competizione and Manthey Racing.

New to the class this weekend is YRB Racing. After their debut in GTD at Watkins Glen, the team under the Car Blanche branding has switched to GTD Pro. Valentin Hasse-Clot and Scott Andrews will drive the again renumbered No. 68.

Pfaff Motorsports has a TBD in their No. 9 Lamborghini. Andrea Caldarelli reportedly suffered an eye injury at Watkins Glen. No word has been given in regards to whether Caldarelli is cleared to drive. The team has definitely not pulled his name of the No. 9 as of Wednesday.

The GTD class has 13 teams entered, down seven from the 20 at Watkins Glen. Teams that aren’t entered include the part-time AF Corse, Triarsi Competizione, Rennsport One, Magnus Racing, Lone Star Racing and Manthey Racing teams. In addition, YRB Racing switched to GTD Pro.

At The Heart of Racing, Roman De Angelis will join Eduardo Barrichello in the No. 27 Aston Martin in place of Tom Gamble. Gamble will be racing a Valkyrie in Sao Paulo.

Robert Wickens returns to DXDT Racing for his home event. With the transporter fire that the team had back in late April, this will be his first race since Long Beach.

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Chevrolet Grand Prix Entry List

Coverage of the Chevrolet Grand Prix will stream live on Peacock Sunday (July 12) at 2 p.m. ET. The green flag will fly at 2:10 p.m. ET. AO Racing’s Dane Cameron and PJ Hyett are the defending champions and want to take their second straight victory, both on the Ontario road course and in LMP2.

IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Canadian Tire Motorsport Park 120

There are 42 teams entered for Saturday’s two-hour Michelin Pilot Challenge race at CTMP, down just one entry from Watkins Glen.

There are 29 Grand Sport teams entered, the same as at Watkins Glen. Not entered this week are Medusa Motorsports with their Aston Martin. In their place is TWOth Autosport, racing under the Shopify Racing banner with Travis and Trevor Hill driving a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS CS.

There are some returns this weekend. Daan Arrow is back with Winward Racing after missing Watkins Glen due to competing in the CrowdStrike 24H of Spa. Thiago Camilo is back at Panam Motorsport, while Scott Thomson is back with LAP Motorsports.

In TCR, there are 13 teams entered. The only team not entered this weekend is HART with their Honda Civic Type-R TCR. The only driver change in class is at Baker Racing, where Kenny Riedmann is back in the No. 56 Audi in place of Bruno Junqueira.

IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Canadian Tire Motorsport Park 120 Entry List

The Canadian Tire Motorsport Park 120 is scheduled to go green at 1:25 p.m. ET Saturday (July 11). Coverage will stream live at 1:20 p.m. ET on the IMSA Official YouTube channel and Peacock.

IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge at CTMP

For VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, there are 17 teams entered between the two classes.

In LMP3, there are seven cars entered, which is down one from the last race weekend at Mid-Ohio last month. Riley Motorsports’ No. 29 is not on the list.

There are changes at Toney Driver Development. Wyatt Brichacek is in the No. 95 in place of Lincoln Day. Brichacek swept the weekend at Circuit of the Americas earlier this year in the No. 30.

Meanwhile, the No. 30 currently doesn’t have a driver listed. This car was raced by Gian Buffomante at Mid-Ohio.

In GSX, there are 10 cars entered. Kingpin Racing’s Rob Walker is not entered this weekend. It’s unclear whether the team was planning on entering, but they took a significant hit financially in Watkins Glen when Walker wrecked two cars in Porsche Carrera Cup North America action.

AutoTechnic Racing is back this weekend with a BMW for Tiger Tari. Also, Caio Chaves is doing double duty this weekend, racing in place of Cecelia Rubelo.

IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge at CTMP Entry List

VP Racing SportsCar Challenge races this weekend are scheduled for 8:50 a.m. ET Saturday morning and 11:10 a.m. ET Sunday morning. Both races will stream live on the IMSA Official YouTube channel and Peacock.
