RFK Racing will appeal the penalties NASCAR issued against Ryan Preece, RFK announced May 7.
Preece was fined $50,000 and docked 25 points for intentionally hitting Ty Gibbs at Texas Motor Speedway, spinning him out.
“We appreciate the opportunity to share our findings with the National Motorsports Appeals Panel at the appropriate time,” RFK said in a statement.
“Additionally, our organization respectfully embraces the forum provided by NASCAR to present our case.”
Preece sits 12th in the standings with two top 10s so far this year.
