AJ Allmendinger to Race For RAM and Kaulig Racing at Watkins Glen

Kaulig Racing announced Friday evening (May 1) that AJ Allmendinger will be the driver of their No. 25 RAM 1500 when the Craftsman Truck Series heads to Watkins Glen International on May 8.

Kaulig’s No. 25 truck has been labeled the “free agent truck”, featuring drivers from different backgrounds and different stages in their career. Already this year, the No. 25 has been driven by three-time Cup champion Tony Stewart, current and former Cup drivers Ty Dillon and Corey LaJoie, IMSA GTP driver Colin Braun and dirt late model driver Carson Ferguson. The No. 25 team’s best finish through six races is ninth by Braun on the streets of St. Petersburg.

Allmendinger’s most recent Truck Series start came in the No. 10 Kaulig RAM at Darlington Raceway earlier this season, finishing 11th. He has one start at Watkins Glen in the Truck Series in 2021, resulting in a 27th-place finish. The road course in New York is also the site of Allmendinger’s first Cup Series win. All three of his Cup Series victories have come on road courses.

Allmendinger joins Connor Zilisch and Shane van Gisbergen as current Cup Series drivers competing in the Bully Hill Vineyards 176 at The Glen.
