One week after winning his first career NASCAR O’Reilly Series race, William Sawalich followed it up with his third career pole and first of the season in the series.
Sawalich will lead the field to green for Saturday night’s (April 11) Suburban Propane 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway with a lap at 15.634 seconds (122.733 mph). He is one of the four drivers eligible for the O’Reilly Dash 4 Cash prize as he needs to finish the highest of the four to win a $100,000 bonus.
Sheldon Creed will join Sawalich on the front row. Kyle Larson, Brandon Jones, and Sam Mayer complete the top-five.
Taylor Gray, Justin Allgaier, Carson Kvapil, Parker Retzlaff, and Brennan Poole will start in the sixth to 10th positions.
Jones, Allgaier, and Rajah Caruth, driving the No. 32 Jordan Anderson Racing entry this weekend, are the other three drivers in the Dash 4 Cash program at Bristol. Caruth failed to set a time during the session due to a mechanical issue and will start 38th.
