PPG Announces Multiple Penske/WBR Sponsorships for IndyCar, Cup

PPG is returning as a primary sponsor for Team Penske’s NASCAR Cup Series and NTT IndyCar Series programs for multiple races this year, the team announced April 6.

The PPG colors will appear in nine races between the two series, with Scott McLaughlin carrying the sponsor for the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C. and the second race at The Milwaukee Mile on Aug. 30.

“It’s awesome to be back in the PPG car,” McLaughlin said in a team release. “I first drove this livery in 2021 when we introduced the updated design, and it quickly became a fan favorite. Driving it again during Team Penske’s 60th anniversary season makes it even more special, and I can’t wait to represent PPG at both Washington, D.C. and Milwaukee.”

Josef Newgarden has already piloted his No. 2 Chevrolet with PPG in two IndyCar races in the Grand Prix of Arlington and Alabama IndyCar Grand Prix this year. It will also sponsor Newgarden at Road America, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the Streets of Markham.

On the Cup side, Austin Cindric will have PPG onboard his No. 2 Ford at Kansas Speedway April 19, while Josh Berry‘s Penske-affiliated Wood Brothers Racing entry will have sponsorship from the company for the Brickyard 400.

After four races in the 2026 IndyCar season, Newgarden has one win along with one top five and three top-10 finishes.

McLaughlin currently sits seventh in points with one top five and two top 10s.

Cindric runs 18th in the Cup Series points following seven races with a best finish of fifth at Darlington Raceway. Berry is 25th with two top 10s
