Jake Garcia Claims Truck Pole at Rockingham

Jake Garcia has won the pole for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Rockingham Speedway, putting down a fast lap of 154.570 mph in qualifying Friday (April 3).

It’s Garcia’s fifth career pole and second of the season, as he also took the pole at EchoPark Speedway.

Tanner Gray will start second alongside Garcia on the front row. Kaden Honeycutt, who was fastest in practice, begins third. Cole Butcher and Layne Riggs round out the top five.

Ty Majeski, Corey Heim, Parker Eatmon, Landen Lewis and Gio Ruggiero take starting positions six through 10, respectively.

Jonathan Shafer crashed early in practice; the No. 69 withdrew as a result and will not qualify. Justin Carroll was the other DNQ for the race.

Practice was cut short due to rain.

The Black’s Tire 200 is set to kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET Friday and airs on FOX Sports 1.
