After winning the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race last week in Las Vegas, Kyle Larson followed that up by winning the pole for the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway.
Larson has one win in seven career starts at Darlington in the O’Reilly Series, winning the 2023 spring race for Kaulig Racing. Larson is filling in this weekend for Alex Bowman, who was originally scheduled to drive the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet but still remains out with vertigo.
Larson will share the front row with fellow Cup Series regular Christopher Bell, as he is piloting the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing entry this weekend.
Carson Kvapil will start third, while Justin Allgaier and Parker Retzlaff round out the top five starting spots. Sam Mayer, William Sawalich, Brandon Jones, Ross Chastain, and Jesse Love complete the top 10.
Matt DiBenedetto was the lone driver to fail to qualify for the race, driving the No. 35 Joey Gase Motorsports Chevrolet.
