Travis Pastrana will attempt his first NASCAR race in three years when he runs the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series 2026 season opener at Daytona International Speedway for Niece Motorsports, the team announced Jan. 20.
Pastrana will pilot the No. 42 with sponsorship from BRUNT Workwear.
Pastrana becomes the fourth driver announced to the No. 42 stable for 2026, following Parker Eatmon, Conner Jones and Tyler Reif.
“I’m excited to get back on the track in Daytona with BRUNT Workwear and Niece Motorsports,” Pastrana said in a team release. “This is my first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race since 2023, so it will be fun to get behind the wheel again and see what we can do.
“It’s great to work with BRUNT for the first time in NASCAR. They’ve been an amazing partner, getting behind all the good times and bad ideas we cook up at Pastranaland, and keeping myself and the Channel 199 crew safe and comfortable while we do it — expanding that partnership to the racetrack was a no-brainer and a great opportunity for all of us.”
Pastrana last competed in NASCAR in 2023, when he ran both the Daytona 500 and the Truck race at Daytona. He finished 11th in the Truck event and 13th in the Daytona 500.
Overall, Pastrana has made six starts in the series since 2012.
