Ryan Vargas Running 2026 ARCA Season for Maples

Ryan Vargas will be the anchor driver for Maples Motorsports’ No. 91 entry in the ARCA Menards Series in 2026, he announced Jan. 6.

In addition to his driving role, Vargas said he is now also the team’s operations manager.

“I’m a believer in what Michael Maples is trying to build in the ARCA Menards Series, so I’m proud to work alongside him and our teams to build this program,” Vargas wrote on social media. “You’ll see me behind the wheel, with a headset on or turning wrenches, and I couldn’t be more stoked to head to Daytona [International Speedway] and get this season started!”

Vargas is entered in the No. 91 for this weekend’s preseason test at Daytona.

The remainder of his 2026 schedule was not announced.

Vargas joins the previously announced Michael Maples; the team owner will return to the No. 99 for a second season.

According to its social media, Maples also plans to field the Nos. 1 and 19 in 2026.

In 2025, Maples earned one top 10 and finished seventh in points. Vargas made four starts for the team in its second car, then numbered as the No. 67, with two 10th-place finishes.
