Tyler Tomassi and MBM Motorsports will enter the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway, the team announced Dec. 9.
Tomassi will run the No. 69 in the season-opening race.
“Racing at Daytona is an absolute dream come true for any race car driver, and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to race at this historic track,” Tomassi said in a team release. “After our pace at Talladega [Superspeedway], I have every reason to believe that we will be competitive. I want to thank [MBM owner] Carl Long for his continued belief in me, as well as my family, friends and supporters. See you at Daytona!”
“Tyler experienced many firsts with our team in 2025: his first 2.5-mile track, his first
road course, his first superspeedway,” Long added. “As a team, it is rewarding to
provide a platform for young drivers to learn the ropes of NASCAR and assist their
improvement behind the wheel. Tyler had top-10 speed in his truck when that cut
tire trapped us laps down at Talladega. We are excited to give him another chance
to bring home a top 10!”
Tomassi made seven Truck starts in 2025, many of which came with MBM’s newly numbered No. 69. His best finish of 21st came at Bristol Motor Speedway with Team Reaume.
The team did not make any other schedule announcements for the 2026 season. In 2025, in addition to a Truck team, MBM fielded a part-time NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series effort, as well as a part-time NASCAR Cup Series car under the name Garage 66.
