Lavar Scott will compete for Alpha Prime Racing in his rookie NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season in 2026, APR announced Dec. 8.
Scott will pilot the No. 45 as a teammate to the previously announced Brennan Poole.
Scott debuted with the team in 2025, finishing 19th and 28th in his first two O’Reilly starts.
In 2024 and ’25, he was a full-time driver in the ARCA Menards Series, landing 22 top fives and 31 top 10s in 40 starts in that span and finishing runner-up in points both years.
He also drove a full ARCA Menards Series East schedule in 2023.
In 2025, APR’s No. 45 was driven by a rotating cast of drivers. In all, the team fielded three full-time efforts and one part time.
