On this week’s episode of Frontstretch Happy Hour, Michael Massie cohosts with Trey Lyle and Daniel McFadin, as Bryan Nolen and Dalton Hopkins are out for the week.
The trio is joined by Jeremy Clements Racing car chief Gabe Wood, who details the No. 51 NASCAR Xfinity Series team’s weekend at Talladega Superspeedway as well some of his work behind the scenes.
The four guys then break down the layout of the Naval Base Coronado in San Diego that was announced on Tuesday (Oct. 21). They also get into whether or not some of Austin Hill‘s antics this year will prevent him from ever reaching the NASCAR Cup Series.
The gang then talks how NASCAR can police race manipulation after plenty of it occurred at Martinsville Speedway in its Round of 8 race last year. Lastly, they each give their Championship 4 predictions.

A Graduate of Virginia Tech in Sports Media and Analytics, Trey Lyle has been covering NASCAR since 2021 as the producer of the Fast Lane with Ed Lane on VTRN Sports 93.3 FM in Lynchburg, Va.
Trey joined FS in 2023 to co-host Happy Hour and help out on the podcast front.
He now hosts Bringing the Heat with Trey Lyle and oversees the entire podcast operation for Frontstretch.
Daniel McFadin is a 10-year veteran of the NASCAR media corp. He wrote for NBC Sports from 2015 to October 2020. He currently works full time for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and is lead reporter and an editor for Frontstretch. He is also host of the NASCAR podcast "Dropping the Hammer with Daniel McFadin" presented by Democrat-Gazette.
