Trevor Huddleston Wins ARCA West Race in Las Vegas

On a Friday, Oct. 10, night with rain in Las Vegas, Trevor Huddleston showed why he is the ARCA Menards Series West points leader. He withstood the inclement weather, challenges from a few drivers, and a late-race restart to win at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Huddleston picked up his second straight triumph, his fourth win of the season and the ninth of his career.

Connor Hall made his first start with Sigma Performance Services, led 35 laps and ultimately came up just shy in second place.

Robbie Kennealy finished third followed by Thomas Annunziata in fourth and Tanner Reif in fifth.

Andrew Chapman, Gavin Ray, Blake Lothian, Taylor Reimer and Eric Johnson Jr. completed the top 10 in sixth through 10th, respectively.

Huddleston extended his West series points lead, partly because he made contact with second-in-points Kyle Keller as they were battling for the lead. The contact led to Keller’s No. 71 having a left-front tire failure, sending him to the pits for an unscheduled pit stop. He ultimately finished two laps down in 13th.

The first three cautions all came for single-car incidents. On lap 117, as Chapman and Annunziata battled hard for position, they made contact and Jade Avedisian caught the worst of it.

Simultaneously, rain began to fall on the 1/3-mile short track, bringing out a lengthy caution flag period.

The race restarted with 10 laps to go. Huddleston led, but Hall received another shot for the victory when a yellow flag came out for Johnson after he spun racing underneath Annunziata.

Huddleston nailed the final restart, with four laps to go, and drove his No. 50 Ford into victory lane.

He has a large unofficial 38-point lead heading into the season finale at Phoenix Raceway.
