Bret Holmes will attempt to make his return to NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition at Talladega Superspeedway Oct. 17 piloting the No. 1 Toyota for TRICON Garage, the team announced on X Oct. 9.
The Alabama native’s most recent series start came at Talladega last fall, where he finished ninth racing for his own team, Bret Holmes Racing. In addition, Holmes also scored his career best result of third at the 2.66-mile oval in 2022.
TRICON Garage fields five entries in the Truck Series, with Corey Heim, Gio Ruggerio, Tanner Gray and Toni Breidinger racing full-time for the organization.
The team’s No. 1 truck has previously been driven this season by William Sawalich, Brandon Jones, Lawless Alan, Brent Crews and Trevor Bayne.
