Toyota continued its torrid qualifying pace as Chase Briscoe broke the 180 mph barrier enroute to his seventh pole of the season. The driver of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota laid down a speed of 180.078 mph.
Briscoe starts alongside JGR teammate Denny Hamlin on the front row tomorrow, the second front row sweep for Joe Gibbs Racing in as many sessions.
Playoff drivers are sprinkled throughout the field with Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell rounding out the top five.
Bubba Wallace will roll off seventh while Ross Chastain earned himself a ninth-place starting position.
William Byron and Tyler Reddick start 11th and 12th, respectively, as they look to get to the front early.
It was a miserable qualifying session for Team Penske in the hot conditions. Ryan Blaney experienced a tire failure during practice and will start at the rear while Austin Cindric and Joey Logano missed the setups completely. Cindric starts in 26th but the bigger surprise was Logano, who was more than 8 mph off the pace and sees himself in the 34th starting position.
