Jake Garcia turned the fastest lap in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series qualifying Thursday (Sept. 11) from Bristol Motor Speedway.
The ThorSport Racing driver posted a speed of 125.831 mph to earn the third pole of his career, and will lead the field to green in the second race of the Truck Series playoffs.
Starting alongside Garcia on the front row will be TRICON Garage driver Corey Heim, who has already locked himself into the next round of the playoffs by winning last week’s (Aug. 30) race at Darlington Raceway.
Fellow playoff drivers Tyler Ankrum and Kaden Honeycutt will start behind them in third and fourth, respectively, with Hendrick Motorsports development driver Corey Day rounding out the top five.
Ty Majeski, Layne Riggs, Chandler Smith, Grant Enfinger and Rajah Caruth finished out the top 10.
Daniel Hemric qualified 11th, and is the only playoff driver starting outside the top 10.
Clay Greenfield was the only driver who didn’t qualify for the race.
