Frankie Muniz Missing Multiple Races After Injury

Frankie Muniz will miss multiple NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races after suffering an injury this week, he announced Aug. 28.

Muniz revealed that he fell from the top of a ladder this week while attempting to change the batteries in a Ring camera in his backyard.

The 39-year-old said he suffered a distal radius fracture from the fall.

“While I’m gutted to miss the races, I’m grateful it wasn’t worse,” Muniz wrote. “The doctor estimates a six- to eight-week recovery, so I’ll be back in the driver’s seat as soon as I’m cleared.”

Muniz currently races full time for Reaume Brothers Racing, piloting the team’s No. 33 entry. He’s 24th in points, with one top 10 coming at Daytona International Speedway in the season-opening event.

Mason Maggio will drive RBR’s No. 33 instead. Maggio was initially entered in the team’s No. 22.
