Stock Car Scoop: Richmond Redemption & a Refreshing Race

The caution flag stayed tucked away as Austin Dillon wound down the closing laps at Richmond Raceway, following the same story as the previous year, without the twist ending. Caleb Barnes and Anthony Damcott react to Dillon’s win, and what felt different about the clean race to the finish compared to the 2024 chaos.

Just behind Dillon, Alex Bowman could not close the gap, and the Hendrick Motorsports driver now sits in the final playoff position. Barnes and Damcott discuss Bowman’s complaints about race manipulation in the closing laps, as well as what could happen to the bubble at Daytona International Speedway in a week.

Finally, the two tackle the topic of the overall race. From start to finish, this Richmond race felt refreshing, especially compared to the previous months of action that had become increasingly stale.

There is a lot to talk about, but just a little time to do so. Check out Stock Car Scoop on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts!
