Josh Williams Back in Xfinity With Optum Sponsorship

Optum will sponsor Josh Williams as part of the Josh Williams Hospital Tour for four NASCAR Xfinity Series races in 2025, the two parties announced Aug. 15.

It’ll mark Williams’ return to the series after he was let go by Kaulig Racing earlier this summer.

Optum will be the primary sponsor for Williams at Daytona International Speedway, the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.

“It’s really important for me to have companies that believe in me, my career and my dedication to the hospital tour,” Williams said in a release. “Alloy Employer Services has been behind me for years and having Optum join the program is another reminder that what we’re doing matters.

“This has been a trying time for my family, me and my fans, and the support throughout the garage and my partners has been a bright spot. I’m looking forward to representing Optum at races throughout the year as well as on the Josh Williams Hospital Tour.”

Williams had two top 10s this season before his release from Kaulig.

Williams will run the races for Alpha Prime Racing in its No. 45.
