Stock Car Scoop: Is It Road Course Fatigue or an SVG Sickness?

For the third time in five weeks, Shane van Gisbergen dominated a road course race, this time taking the victory at Sonoma Raceway. While the racing behind the leader turned eventful in the later stages of the race, Caleb Barnes and Mike Neff go over the reasons why people are now asking for fewer road courses.

Are the road course races too closely packed? Could people just be sick of seeing the same driver win them all? Or is the car still the biggest underlying issue?

Plus, Barnes and Neff discuss the conflict between the crews of the No. 54 and No. 6 team that took place at the end of the second stage. Did Ty Gibbs step out of line by driving into Brad Keselowski‘s pit box?

As the podcast comes to an end, the brand-new In-Season Challenge is also wrapping up, with its final four locked in after the finish at Sonoma. The two react to Ty Dillon‘s move in Turn 11, and how the driver of the No. 10 has added some life back to the tournament.

There’s a lot to talk about and a short time to do so. Stop by for a listen and sign up for Stock Car Scoop on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts!
