Tyler Tomassi, MBM Returning to Truck Field at Talladega

Tyler Tomassi and MBM Motorsports will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Talladega Superspeedway, with Tomassi piloting the No. 69, the team announced July 8.

According to MBM, it is still working on finalizing a primary sponsor for the entry.

“I am thrilled to drive in my first ever superspeedway race,” Tomassi said in a team release. “Talladega has been on my bucket list to experience my whole life as a NASCAR fan. Now, not only do I get to go to this renowned track, I get to go there as a driver. I can’t thank Carl Long and the entire MBM group enough for everything. Let’s get it!”

“Tyler showed us a lot at Pocono [Raceway], and I am proud that our MBM team gets to field him in his first Talladega attempt,” owner Carl Long added. “Superspeedway racing is a unique skill set that takes both talent and luck to get right. We are working hard to give Tyler everything he needs to have a great run.”

MBM’s No. 69 debuted at Pocono, where Tomassi finished 24th. He also has three starts this season in the series with Reaume Brothers Racing, earning a best result of 21st in the No. 22 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
