Cup Standings After Atlanta
Saturday’s (June 28) Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway was a nail biter from start to finish with 46 lead changes. The last of those came as the white flag flew, Chase Elliott surging to the lead with an assist from teammate Alex Bowman to earn the win at his hometown track. Elliott snapped a 44-race winless streak and scored the 20th victory of his NASCAR Cup Series career.
The race was guaranteed to have sweeping playoff implications after a lap 69 Big One took out more than half the field. The victims included several pre-race favorites and almost every winner this season; no driver who won a race prior to Atlanta finished inside the top 15.
Elliott’s triumph means that winless drivers are quickly running out of spots to point their way into the playoffs. There are 12 winners filling up the 16 playoff positions with eight races remaining in the season.

Xfinity Standings After Atlanta
Richard Childress Racing’s superspeedway perfection came to an end in 2025, as Austin Hill’s mechanical gremlins and Jesse Love’s damaged car opened the door for the Xfinity field to pounce in Friday’s (June 27) Focused Health 250 at EchoPark.
NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie Nick Sanchez was the one who capitalized, as he powered to the lead with six laps to go and held on to score the first win of his Xfinity career — clinching a playoff spot in the process. It was just the second victory overall for Big Machine Racing, one of the smaller full-time teams running the NXS circuit.

Truck Standings After Lime Rock
Corey Heim was one lap away from perfection in the first-ever NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Lime Rock Park. He won the pole, set the fastest lap and led 99 of the 100 laps on the way to his fifth win of the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season.
Saturday marked Heim’s third consecutive victory on a road course, and he became the first driver in series history to win three straight on this track type. Heim is now up to 988 laps led on the season (no one else has more than 189) and has earned a whopping 39 playoff points as the series enters its month-long break.
