On this week’s episode of Frontstretch Happy Hour, hosts Bryan Nolen, Michael Massie and Dalton Hopkins are joined by The Athletic‘s Jeff Gluck fresh off of his trip to Mexico City for the NASCAR weekend at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
Gluck describes what it was like covering the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity series races there and shares several of his experiences there.
Shane van Gisbergen‘s win secured him a spot in the Cup playoffs despite entering the race 33rd in the point standings. The quartet discuss the differences in SVG getting a playoff spot from that far back in points to Harrison Burton winning his way in from 34th in points last year at Daytona International Speedway and whether either one is right for the series.
The gang also dive into the latest incident between Carson Hocevar and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., debating whether the latter will get even with Hocevar or not. Finally, each of the guys weigh in on where NASCAR should race next internationally.
