Brennan Poole Returning to Cup at Pocono

Brennan Poole will drive the No. 44 in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway this weekend, NY Racing Team announced June 16.

The pair will be sponsored by Members 1st Federal Credit Union.

It will be Poole’s first Cup start since the 2023 season, when he made seven appearances for Rick Ware Racing.

He has one top 10 in 42 career starts in the series since 2020.

Poole is running full time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Alpha Prime Racing and sits 17th in points via two top fives this year.

So far in 2025, NY has made six starts, with the team’s best finish being 32nd twice. JJ Yeley and Derek Kraus have driven the open car prior to Poole.

    • Agreed, though I think that’s more down to subpar equipment than an indictment of Poole’s driving. I just hope he takes out one or more drivers I don’t like when it happens!
