Brenden Queen was fast in ARCA Menards Series action at Michigan International Speedway. He was the fastest in practice. He captured the pole. Queen then completed the day (June 6) by holding off NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular Corey Heim to score his third career victory, all in 2025.
Heim finished second in a fill-in appearance for Venturini Motorsports. Heim drove the No. 25 Toyota as a replacement for Jake Finch, who sat out the race due to an illness.
“I think our cars were very equal,” Heim told FOX Sports post-race. “I think just track position, you know. I was looking for a pretty specific handling like I do on my truck on a weekly basis and, you know, just not having run one of these things in a long time, it was tough to kinda dime that in. But Shannon Rursch [his crew chief] up on the box made some great adjustments and I really felt like that last run was by far our best. Just struggled with it for the first few stints there.
“But, yeah, the No. 28 was really really quick and Butterbean did a tremendous job as well. So really tough to beat that so props to those guys. But, yeah, like I said, just trying to chase handling all day but we got it really good in that last stage. Just kind of needed the track position from there.
“Huge thanks to Venturini Motorsports for having me along in tough circumstances. I think we’re all hoping that Jake feels a lot better. But I had a lot of fun.
Lawless Alan finished third, followed by Gio Ruggiero in fourth and Lavar Scott in fifth.
Thad Moffitt, Tyler Reif, Jason Kitzmiller, Isabella Robusto and Eloy Sebastian rounded out the top 10 in sixth through 10th, respectively.
The sixth race of the 2025 season was incredibly clean, with the competition cautions the only two yellow flag periods of the day.
Queen scored the maximum points (49), but he had to fend off Heim in the closing laps as Heim tried to pass him multiple times.
Ultimately, Queen prevailed and retook the points lead as ARCA begins its summer stretch.
