Cup Standings After Charlotte
William Byron had the car to beat for the majority of Sunday’s (May 25) Coca-Cola 600. He led more than two-thirds of the race, and he swept the first three stages in rather convincing fashion.
The No. 24 car received more and more challenges for the lead as the night went on, however. Byron held serve for as long as he could, but Ross Chastain erased a 2.5-second deficit in the final 40 laps to make the pass for the win with six laps to go in a herculean last-to-first effort for his first win of the 2025 season. It was the sixth win of his NASCAR Cup Series career and his first crown jewel, and Chastain locks his spot in the playoffs after a disappointing miss last season.
Byron had to settle for second after a dominant night, but he retook the points lead after Kyle Larson crashed out in stage three. With eight winners in the first 13 races, only half the playoff spots are up for grabs.

Xfinity Standings After Charlotte
Justin Allgaier had the car to beat in the second half of Saturday’s (May 24) BetMGM 300, but a miscue to stay out while everyone else pitted under caution with 20 laps to go proved costly.
He held on for a few late restarts, but four fresh tires ultimately prevailed, and Byron made the pass for the win coming to the white flag. It was the fifth win of his NASCAR Xfinity Series career and his first since 2017, when he won the series championship on his way up the ladder to Cup.

NOTE: Part-time drivers who are eligible for series points but ineligible for the championship will not be displayed in these graphics.
