Chase Briscoe Takes Coke 600 Pole, Kyle Larson Starts Second Half of Double From 2nd

Chase Briscoe turned the fastest lap in Cup Series qualifying from Charlotte on Saturday (May 25). The driver of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota turned in a speed of 182.852 mph, earning the right to lead the field to green for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600.

The pole marks the fourth of Briscoe’s Cup career and his second this season.

Kyle Larson will start alongside Briscoe on the front row in what will be the second race of his busy Sunday that also includes a start in the Indianapolis 500.

Making up row two will be Larson’s Hendrick Motorsports teammate in William Byron starting third, along with Chris Buescher in fourth.

AJ Allmendinger will roll off fifth, with John Hunter Nemechek starting to his outside in sixth.

In row four, Ty Gibbs will start seventh ahead of Noah Gragson, who starts eighth. Alex Bowman will start ninth, while Christopher Bell, last week’s All-Star race winner, completes the top-10 starters.

With 40 teams entered, all 40 cars made the field with no one going home early.
