Ford Performance and the Gene Haas Foundation have partnered to launch a new in-season tournament in the NASCAR Xfinity Series that aims to raise money for charitable organizations, Haas Factory team announced May 22.
The tournament, titled Driving 4 a Difference presented by the Gene Haas Foundation, will pin five Ford drivers against each other over the course of four races, starting with the Xfinity Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway May 24.
The tournament will then continue through the races at Nashville Superspeedway (May 31), Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez (June 14) and Pocono Raceway (June 21).
The driver who scores the most points over the course of those races will be awarded $20,000 for a charity of their choice, with the second-place finisher earning $15,000 and the remaining drivers receiving $5,000 apiece.
The five Ford drivers taking part in the challenge are Haas Factory Team’s Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer, AM Racing’s Harrison Burton and RSS Racing’s Ryan and Kyle Sieg.
