Dale Earnhardt Jr. Bringing Special Throwback Scheme to CARS Race at Anderson

zMAX CARS Tour co-owner and NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. has added another Late Model Stock car race to his 2025 calendar.

Earnhardt announced at JR Motorsports Fan Day on May 22 that he will enter the Tour’s race at Anderson Motor Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 16.

Not only will Earnhardt be racing, he’ll also be sporting a throwback Budweiser Baseball scheme, similar to the one that he took to victory lane at Daytona International Speedway in July 2001.

“It is an incredible opportunity to reunite with Budweiser and Major League Baseball,” Earnhardt said. “I’ve watched that July 2001 race at Daytona so many times. It’s such a great memory for me. I am excited that we have this chance to collaborate with Bud and MLB to bring that scheme back again because of what it means to me and so many others.”

Earnhardt and Budweiser reunited last fall at Florence Motor Speedway, ending 17-year drought for the legendary partnership that became so famous in the early 2000s.

In one race so far this year, Earnhardt finished 21st at Cordele Motor Speedway after a late crash took him out of contention.

Earnhardt has one other race on his schedule at this time: the CARS race at Tri-County Speedway in October.

Since returning to late model competition in 2022, Earnhardt has a best CARS finish of third, coming in the North Wilkesboro Speedway revival race in 2022.
