Cup Standings After North Wilkesboro
Christopher Bell prevailed in Sunday’s All-Star race (May 18) at North Wilkesboro Speedway, and with the help of two fresh tires, he took the lead from Joey Logano with 10 to go and rode off into the sunset.
Bell claimed his first-ever million-dollar prize, while Toyota and Joe Gibbs Racing scored their first All-Star wins since 2017.
As a non-points race, the only change to the NASCAR Cup Series points standings was an L1 penalty handed out to Chris Buescher and RFK Racing’s No. 17 team for a front bumper cover violation at Kansas Speedway. The team was stripped of 60 regular season points and five playoff points, which dropped them from 14th to 24th in the standings. Buescher and the No. 17 team still have an opportunity to appeal the penalty.

Truck Standings After North Wilkesboro
It was another dominant Corey Heim performance at North Wilkesboro, but a late caution brought the fast Front Row Motorsports duo of Layne Riggs and Chandler Smith right to his bumper for a two-lap shootout.
Heim led the white flag lap, but Riggs was right at his door and sent it into turn 1. That ran both of them up the track, and Heim spun out exiting turn 2. That rolled out the red carpet for Smith, who powered by Riggs on the backstretch to score the victory. The last lap was the only lap Smith led all day, and with his second win of the season, he gained significant ground on Heim in the battle for the regular season points lead.
