Christopher Bell Joining Sam Hunt in Mexico City

Christopher Bell will compete for Sam Hunt Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race in Mexico City, the team announced May 13.

Bell will drive the No. 24 with sponsorship from Mobil 1.

“This is without a doubt an extremely exciting opportunity for our organization, having Christopher come to SHR with a genuine desire to battle for this team’s first win in Mexico City,” team owner Sam Hunt said in a post on X. “Christopher’s talent and ability speaks for itself, but he’s also a great friend, and a guy that has always supported this team and our growth over the years. Anytime we run strong, he seems to be the first Cup driver to reach out, to encourage us to keep pushing.

“Now, in partnership with the Mobil 1 family, we’re finally able to work together as one team. It’s special to see Christopher’s excitement match ours, and we’re working our hardest in the shop to put Christopher and Dean [Thompson] in position to run extremely strong south of the border.”
