First time in an ARCA car? No problem for Max Reaves. Ahead of his ARCA Menards Series East debut at Five Flags Speedway, Reaves captured the pole on Saturday (March 22).
Driving the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, Reaves also was fastest in the practice session. JGR won the most recent ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series West combination race at Phoenix Raceway.

Of note, CW Lemoine had a medical emergency so he cannot compete in the race. Wayne Peterson Motorsports has Nate Moeller piloting its No. 06 Toyota. Moeller will start 19th.
Additionally, MAN Motorsports discovered a problem with the No. 96 Toyota during a test so Jackson McLerran withdrew from the race.
With 22 drivers entered, all will start the 150-lap season opener.
