A late Friday (March 14) night in Las Vegas saw TRICON Garage driver Corey Heim fend off all challengers to claim his second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory of 2025.
Heim overcame a poor starting spot and a speeding penalty to claim his 13th win in his third full-time season in the Truck Series leading 42 laps, the most of any driver.
“First of all our pit crew did such a good job getting us back up front,” Heim said post race. “I made a mistake at the end of stage one where I sped on pit road and set us behind.
“I just had to do everything I can there. It’s such a good feeling to be a part of it and drive these fast trucks.”
Grant Enfinger’s late rally at the end of the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was not enough as he came home in second to score his best finish so far this season.
“It’s bittersweet,” Enfinger said. “I feel like we had the fastest truck out there.”
Heim’s TRICON teammate Tanner Gray finished in third with Ty Majeski coming in fourth. Layne Riggs captured the fifth position.
Stewart Friesen, Rajah Caruth, Chandler Smith, Matt Crafton and Tyler Ankrum finished sixth through 10th, respectively.
Front row starters Corey Day and Tyler Ankrum showed their muscles early before Ty Majeski took the lead midway through stage one. Majeski went on to win stage one that was shortened due to a pop-up shower.
Heim quickly made his way through the field from his 16th starting position, finishing fourth in stage one. Heim’s progress was stalled due to a speeding penalty sustained under the stage one caution.
A rain shower halted the start of the second stage. NASCAR penalized Matt Crafton for an unapproved adjustment under the red flag. Video showed a crew member reach under the left hood flap, which NASCAR used in their ruling.

The race resumed on lap 38 with Ben Rhodes and Tyler Ankrum leading the field to the restart. Ankrum quickly took the lead and fended off Chandler Smith to collect his first stage win of 2025.
Heim showed his prowess once again, storming through the field in stage two. During pit stops Heim’s crew gained him four positions which gave him the lead for the final stage.
A second rain shower prompted the second red flag of the race. Once the race resumed Stewart Friesen took control, getting ahead of Heim.
The first caution for incident came when Kaden Honeycutt got loose underneath Ankrum in turns 3 and 4. Honeycutt slid sideways but was able to save his truck and continue. Ankrum also sustained minimal damage.
Pit stops followed the Honeycutt incident with Heim regaining the top spot on pit road. A second caution quickly followed for Jack Wood who spun in turn 4, backing into the wall and ending his night.
Heim soared out to the lead on the final restart and never looked back.
