Interstate Batteries is back as a sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing in 2025, JGR announced Feb. 4.
In all, the longtime JGR sponsor is planned to adorn the team’s NASCAR Cup Series cars in five races in 2025. Christopher Bell will carry Interstate sponsorship in four of those events on his No. 20, while Ty Gibbs adds a fifth with his No. 54.
Bell’s first race is at the Daytona 500, followed by Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and the season finale at Phoenix Raceway.
Gibbs’ event, meanwhile, is at Nashville Superspeedway.
“We wouldn’t be where we are as a race team without the support from our founding partner, Interstate Batteries,” team owner Joe Gibbs said. “To think we’re now well into our fourth decade together speaks to how special our partnership has been and the relationships we’ve built with everyone at Interstate Batteries. I’ll be forever grateful to Norm and Tommy Miller, who gave us a chance when we didn’t have a building, cars or even employees.
“We are blessed to continue to work with great people like Lain (Hancock, president/CEO) and his entire team. There are few partnerships that have stood the test of time like Joe Gibbs Racing and Interstate Batteries.”
Bell enters the season having earned three wins, 15 top fives and 23 top 10s in 2024, while Gibbs scored eight top fives and 12 top 10s.
Bell finished 12th in the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium last weekend; Gibbs did not advance out of the heats.
