Chris Lawson has moved to Front Row Motorsports to act as crew chief for Todd Gilliland‘s team in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025, FRM announced Dec. 12.
Lawson joins the No. 34 from Rick Ware Racing, where he had been the No. 51’s crew chief.
It’s a reunion between Lawson and Gilliland, as the former was the crew chief for the latter in the ARCA Menards Series West during a two-year span in which they won the series title both years. He was also Gilliland’s crew chief during his two-season run in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for FRM and oversaw a race in the Cup Series in 2023 when Gilliland drove a third FRM car.
Gilliland was previously announced to be moving to the No. 34 after previously driving the No. 38 for FRM, replacing Michael McDowell.
Gilliland earned four top 10s in the Cup Series in 2024.
