Kyffin Simpson Staying With CGR In 2025

Kyffin Simpson, fresh off his first season in the NTT IndyCar Series, will remain a part of the Chip Ganassi Racing lineup in 2025, the team announced Oct. 30.

“I’m very excited to continue with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2025,” Simpson said in a team release. “I look forward to building on a strong start to my INDYCAR career and I can’t wait to see what our team can achieve together.”

Simpson will have a number change, moving into the No. 8 Honda. He previously drove the No. 4.

The move finalizes the 2025 CGR lineup, with defending champion Alex Palou staying in the No. 10 and former champion Scott Dixon remaining in the No. 9.

Simpson finished 21st in the 2024 standings. His best finish was a 12th-place run in the season-opening Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

Linus Lundqvist, who drove the No. 8 in 2024, will not return to the organization full time as a result.
