Harrison Burton will compete for AM Racing in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the team announced Sept. 20.
AM currently fields the No. 15 Ford Mustang.
The team will have a technical alliance with Haas Factory Team next season.
“I’m excited to join AM Racing and help build it into the race-winning race team I believe it can and will be,” Burton said in a team release. “I think this will be a great opportunity for me to take the things I’ve learned in the Cup Series, bring those to the Xfinity Series and be the best driver I can be.
“It’s a blessing to continue my NASCAR journey, and I intend to make the most of this opportunity.”
Burton made his first NASCAR Cup Series playoffs this year after winning at Daytona International Speedway in August.
In his three years with Wood Brothers Racing, he has one win, two top fives and six top 10s.
In Xfinity, Burton has four wins, 26 top fives and 49 top 10s from 2020-2021.
AM Racing has had several drivers run its No. 15 this year after parting with Hailie Deegan partway through the season.
Joy joined Frontstretch in 2019 as a NASCAR DraftKings writer, expanding to news and iRacing coverage in 2020. She's currently an assistant editor and involved with photos, social media and news editing. A California native, Joy was raised watching motorsports and started watching NASCAR extensively in 2001. She earned her B.A. degree in Liberal Studies at California State University Bakersfield in 2010.
This is a good move for both. He wasn’t ready for Cup and they need a winner in the 15 car. They will have Roush-Yates horsepower and help from the Haas factory team and I do believe he will bring some much-needed sponsorship. Might work out well for both.
After destroying Hailie Deegan’s career AM racing will now destroy Harrison Burton’s career. 15 car finished 27 two laps down at bristol. Logano in the 15 only got moderately good finishes because of numerous wrecks.
