Bubba Wallace Signs Multi-Year Extension With 23XI

Bubba Wallace has signed a multi-year contract extension with 23XI Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series, the team announced Sept. 18.

The exact length of the extension was not announced, but it puts Wallace at 23XI through at least 2026.

“From day one, Bubba has been an integral part of 23XI,” 23XI posted on X (formerly Twitter). “We’re excited to announce that he has signed a multi-year renewal and will continue to play a key role in helping 23XI grow and succeed.”

Wallace was the first driver to join the team co-owned by Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan in 2021. During his time in 23XI, Wallace has two wins, 18 top fives and three poles.

Wallace made the playoffs in 2023 and finished 10th in the standings. The driver of the No. 23 Toyota missed the playoff cut line this season and sits 19th in points with five top fives and 10 top 10s.

He joins Tyler Reddick at the team next season. Reddick is signed with the team through 2025.

James Krause joined Frontstretch in March 2024 as a contributor. Krause was born and raised in Illinois and graduated from Northern Illinois University. He currently works in La Crosse, Wisconsin as a local sports reporter, including local short track racing. Outside of racing, Krause loves to keep up with football, music, anime and video games.
