Pinnacle Racing Group and Cook Racing Technologies were both handed penalties by the ARCA Menards Series for failing post-race inspection at Watkins Glen International, the series announced Sept. 18.
Both the No. 28 from Pinnacle and the No. 42 from Cook were found to have violated 2024 ARCA Rulebook Section 20C-12.8.1A, which deals with roof height requirements.
Connor Zilisch piloted the No. 28 to a win, while Brandon Jones drove the No. 42, finishing third.
Pinnacle crew chief Shane Huffman was fined $1,000 and placed on probation for the rest of the 2024 season. Zilisch and team owner Mark Webb were penalized six points in the ARCA national standings.Â
Cook crew chief Amber Slagle was also fined $1,000 and placed on a season-long probation. Jones and team owner Bruce Cook were both docked six points.
