Carson Hocevar will compete in the final four races of the NASCAR Cup Series season with LEGACY Motor Club, the team announced Oct. 4.
Hocevar has piloted the No. 42 Chevrolet in all five races since the Cup playoffs began at Darlington Raceway, recording four consecutive top 20s and one top 15 to start his stint. He also made his Cup debut with Spire Motorsports at World Wide Technology Raceway in June.
Mike Rockenfeller will be behind the wheel of the ride for the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL before Hocevar takes the reins for the remainder of the season.
The 20-year-old is also in the hunt for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series title, where he sits second, 23 points above the cut line with one race remaining in the Round of 8. In that series, he has three wins, 10 top fives, and 12 top 10s.
Hocevar, Rockenfeller and Josh Berry have split the No. 42 since Noah Gragson’s release from Legacy in August.
