Conor Daly will attempt to qualify for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL for Emerling-Gase Motorsports, he announced Oct. 2.
Daly is driving the No. 53 in what would be his first Xfinity start of 2023. He failed to qualify at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course for Alpha Prime Racing.
The start would be his first for EGM. His lone Xfinity start came in 2018 for RFK Racing, finishing 31st at Road America.
Daly has also made two NASCAR Cup Series appearances in 2023, plus a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start. All but one of his appearances have come on a road course.
EGM has not yet announced who will drive its other Xfinity entry, the No. 35.
