Ryan Preece will be returning to Stewart-Haas Racing and the No. 41 team for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Season, Preece announced Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 26).
Preece joined the team ahead of the 2023 Cup Series season and revealed to Dave Moody on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that he had signed a contract extension for 2024. The details of the contract were not specified.
“I’m gonna be here with the No. 41 SHR for next year so, definitely looking forward to it and we’ve made a lot of gains…,” Preece said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
So far, Preece has one top five and one top 10 on the season, as well as one pole award at Martinsville Speedway back in April. Preece led 135 laps from the pole at Martinsville before a penalty threw a wrench in the team’s day.
The Cup Series is back in action this Sunday, Oct. 1, at Talladega Superspeedway for the Yellawood 500. Coverage will be live on NBC, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 2:00 p.m. ET.
