NASCAR’s trip to the Lone Star State did not stop many of its regulars from hitting the dirt over the past week.

Chase Briscoe

Ross Chastain

Stewart Friesen

After scoring a top-10 finish in Friday’s 358 modified feature, Friesen struck big in the Super DIRTcar Series Saturday night, leading all 115 laps of the feature event to score a five-figure payday and, perhaps more importantly, lock himself into the Super DIRT Week finale feature at Oswego Speedway next month.
Kasey Kahne
The former Cup Series regular contested both winged sprint car features as part of the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway Friday and Saturday night. Kahne qualified for A-mains with both the World of Outlaws and the All-Star Circuit of Champions, finishing 21st and 14th in the two features, respectively.
Jesse Love
The current ARCA Racing Series points leader enjoyed a strong Wednesday night in his wingless micro sprint at Millbridge, finishing second in both his heat race and the pole dash before leading the opening 12 laps of the A-main. Love was unable to keep eventual race winner Brent Crews at bay and had to settle for a runner-up feature finish as well.
Ken Schrader
The former Cup Series regular contested the the Econo Mod division at the Federated Auto Parts Showdown at Sharon Speedway in Ohio Saturday night, the support class on the night of the World of Outlaws. Schrader had a strong fifth-to-second run in his heat race before finishing sixth in the main event.
Kenny Wallace
The former Cup Series regular wasn’t able to race this weekend after rain forced the cancelation of two nights of modified racing at the Tri-City Speedway in Illinois. However, Wallace did make the news this week after being invited to contest the modified division of the Gateway Dirt Nationals in December of this year.
