Cameron Lawrence Attempting Xfinity Debut at COTA

Cameron Lawrence will drive MBM Motorsports’ No. 66 at Circuit of the Americas in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, MBM announced March 20.

Lawrence is attempting his series debut in the car.

Impact Health Labs will sponsor the effort.

“I’m energized to make my debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at my home track,
Circuit of the Americas, with the support of a return sponsor, Impact Health Labs,” Lawrence said in a team release. “I’m thankful for the ongoing support of Impact Health Labs. We certainly surprised everyone with our top-10 qualifying effort in the NASCAR [Craftsman] Truck Series in 2021, and we have the chance to surprise people again.”

Lawrence replaces Baltazar Leguizamon, who was initially planned as the No. 66’s driver at COTA before insufficient sponsorship kept him out of the ride.

Lawrence debuted in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2021 at COTA, starting seventh and finishing 36th in Reaume Brothers Racing’s No. 33.

He also has a pair of wins in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
