Anthony Alfredo Joins LFM for 2 Races

Anthony Alfredo will drive the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports Chevy Camaro for two races in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, the team announced March 9.

The first race will be at Richmond Raceway in the Toyota Owners 400. The second race is still to be announced.

Alfredo currently drives the No. 78 for BJ McLeod Motorsports full time in the Xfinity Series, with a best finish of 17th in the first three races of the 2023 season.

“Anthony’s drive and determination is something we’ve seen stand out on our Xfinity team,” LFM co-owner BJ McLeod said in a team release. “We are excited to give him the opportunity to compete at the Cup level again and gain some experience in the Next Gen car.”

Alfredo previously drove in the Cup Series for Front Row Motorsports in 2021, gaining one top 10 and leading five laps in 36 races en route to a 30th-place finish in the points standings.

In his two career Cup races at Richmond, Alfredo finished 31st and 26th.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to drive the No. 78 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Cup Series at Richmond,” Alfredo said. “It is a huge opportunity for me to get experience in the Next Gen car. We have already made major strides with the Xfinity program and I am excited to take that momentum to the Cup side. It wouldn’t be possible without all the great people at Live Fast, as well as our partners and supporters.”

Alfredo is the third driver to be announced to the LFM Cup program in 2023. McLeod has driven every race so far and Josh Bilicki will also compete for the team.
