Max McLaughlin Attempting Xfinity Debut for FRS at Watkins Glen

Max McLaughlin is FRS Racing’s first announced driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, FRS announced Feb. 28.

McLaughlin will attempt to qualify for his series debut at Watkins Glen International in the No. 96.

FRS is a newly formed Xfinity team owned by former Brandonbilt Motorsports employee Collin Fern. The team plans its debut at Richmond Raceway; a driver has not yet been announced.

McLaughlin, son of former Xfinity winner Mike McLaughlin, made one NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start at Eldora Speedway in 2018, finishing 12th for Niece Motorsports.

He has also competed in the ARCA Menards Series and its ARCA Menards Series East counterpart.
